Daymon Worldwide extracts essential extranet usage analysis with NetTracker Web analytics

Daymon Worldwide relies on their extranet site for centralized field intelligence. Katinger's team customizes NetTracker to provide concise or detailed reporting, as needed, for the array of extranet site data users within the Daymon Worldwide enterprise. "At the highest level, we are able to provide monthly standardized reports to our business leaders regarding overall usage of the site by the various departments. But, other users can also perform more ad-hoc analysis by drilling down and looking at a particular individual's usage for any given time period, using NetTracker’s flexible interface," said Katinger.

NetTracker's free out-of-the-box data conduits provide Daymon Worldwide's IT and business leaders with pointed knowledge of their user base and their individual users' clickstreams. These data conduits allow Daymon Worldwide to integrate their corporate directory information, stored in a SQL database, directly into NetTracker Web site traffic reports. Usernames are replaced with users' actual names, job functions, and other directory information in the NetTracker behavior reports, which reflect the individual clickstream path for each user.

Daymon Worldwide's IT team also bases their decisions on which tools to keep on the extranet site, and which to discard, based on overall content usage reported by NetTracker. "It is critical for IT departments in today's organizations to know which systems are used the most, which systems are critical to the business, and which should become obsolete," explained Katinger. "Without the knowledge and data that NetTracker provides, Daymon Worldwide would waste a lot of time and resources on the maintenance and upkeep of systems that are not contributing to our bottom line."
